Dear Families,

Welcome to the Sunshine Coast Grammar School Music Ensemble Enrolment Form 2025.

This form is designed for you to:

Enrol your child in our ensemble program. (one ensemble per form)
Read through the expectations and conditions of your child's participation in the ensemble program
Read through and accept that both you and your child have responsibilities to adhere to

Once you have completed this form, your place in the ensemble will be confirmed by the relevant ensemble director at the beginning of 2025. It is anticipated that most ensembles will commence in Week 3.

Conditions of Participation

I understand that:

My child is expected to attend ALL weekly rehearsals, performances (as scheduled) and any extra planned rehearsals leading up to a performance
My child is exempt from rehearsals during important events such as NAPLAN testing, exam blocks, excursions and camps
My child will bring all necessary equipment to every rehearsal
My child will assist with set / pack up 5 minutes before and after the scheduled start time
My child will be ready to start the rehearsal on time
In the event of absence, please ensure you notify the ensemble director for that particular group/s as a priority via email in advance. This is very important, as we now have an electronic roll marking system that will send you an SMS automatically from the ensemble director.
Please note: if you contact the general music@scgs.qld.edu email, this WILL NOT get the correct information through to the ensemble director on time, as this is not monitored outside of office hours.

Communication

Once the ensemble groups are finalised, you will be added to the relevant Geco page. In order to receive up-to-date information pertaining to each ensemble, please ensure you set up your Geco parent profile.

Any urgent information will usually be communicated via email.
